THE KANSAS VIDEOS LIBRARY SET
In an effort to get positive chiropractic resource material in libraries across the
country, the Kansas Chiropractic Association (KCA) has developed a plan to make that
happen. The KCA will send two of the Kansas Videos to local libraries for only the cost
of duplication, S&H.
The two video "Library Set" contains "Chiropractic: The Proven Choice" and "The Doctor
of Chiropractic." These 2 highly acclaimed videos regularly sell for $124. However,
individual doctors can now purchase sets for their libraries for only $22 each.
"Chiropractic: The Proven Choice" dramatically presents the research that documents
chiropractic care as the treatment of choice for low back problems. It begins by noting
the 100th anniversary of chiropractic and then gives a description of the Wilk Vs. AMA
case. The heart of the video is the in-depth presentation of the 3 major research
studies that document chiropractic's effectiveness. It covers the British Medical
Journal study, the findings and recommendations of the Manga Report, and concludes with
the spinal manipulation recommendation of the AHCPR Guideline. It also informs the
viewer about many medical treatments that were not recommended by the AHCPR panel. It is
7 minutes in length and regularly sells for $35. "Chiropractic: The Proven Choice" won
the Gold Medal at the 1995 Worldfest Houston International Film Festival in the
Scientific Research division of the Film and Video Production category. It also won the
Creative Excellence award from the 1995 U.S. International Festival in the Medicine and
Health category.
"The Doctor of Chiropractic 2nd Edition" video was produced by editing all of the Kansas
videos into one video. It covers all the key topics from earlier videos including: The
1995 Centennial, Wilk Vs. AMA, an explanation of chiropractic, chiropractic safety,
medical treatment risk, British Medical Journal, Manga Report, AHCPR Guideline, Rand
Study and chiropractic education. It is 15 minutes in length and regularly sells for
$89. "The Doctor of Chiropractic, 2nd Edition" won the Bronze Medal at the 1995
Worldfest Houston International Festival in the Television and Video Production
category. It also received a Savoie 9 Rating when it was reviewed by Dynamic
Chiropractic.
Each "Library Set" will be shipped directly to each of the public, college or high
school libraries the doctor designates. The two videos will arrive at your library with
a description of the videos, award labels and a nice cover letter giving the name and
address of the doctor who donated them.
